Gina Beck is from Donora, Pennsylvania and moved to Central PA after accepting a job with the PA National Guard in 2006. In 2015, she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a rare disorder in which the body’s immune system attacks the nervous system. She found physical healing through changes in her diet and emotional healing through volunteer work at animal sanctuaries, which led her to opening her own animal sanctuary. After serving for 22 years, Gina retired from the military in 2017. She lives in Shermans Dale with her husband, Jerry and her son, Jonah, attends college at Shippensburg University.

Jeff Lambert is the President & CEO of Whispering Rise Farm & Animal Sanctuary, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide sanctuary for rescued and surrendered potbelly pigs. Mr. Lambert worked in the child welfare field for 30 years before starting the sanctuary in 2011. He holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology, a Professional Certificate in Nonprofit Management and a Certificate on How to Start and Run an Animal Sanctuary from Best Friends Animal Society.

Jonina Turzi is a cofounder of Lancaster Farm Sanctuary, a district leader for HSUS, and a doctor of physical therapy and yoga educator. She owns West End Yoga Studio, and a private physical therapy practice in Lancaster City, where she provides functional manual therapy, and a variety of postural and osteopathic interventions for chronic and complex pain including visceral and craniosacral therapies. She also owns Yoga Sanctuary School, a yoga teacher training and continuing education business for wellness practitioners and students of yoga and nonviolence.

Sarah Salluzzo is the president and cofounder of Lancaster Farm Sanctuary.
She is an inpatient therapist who specializes in co-occurring mental health and
substance abuse recovery. Sarah graduated with a BA from Millersville University and then went on to obtain an MA in Media Studies from The New School University, and an MSW from Millersville University. She is a district leader for HSUS, and a yoga practitioner with a long history of social activism.
