About

Animal Advocates of South Central PA

Harvest Vegfest is being organized by the Animal Advocates of South Central PA whose mission is to spread compassion for animals in a peaceful and respectful way. Vegfests have been popping up all around the world and it is time to bring the fun to York! We are thrilled to be putting on this event for the community and hope to inspire kindness to all creatures, large and small, as well as bring awareness of the health and environmental impacts of a plant-based diet.

What’s a Zero Waste Event?

Sustainability and environmental consciousness is extremely important to us. Therefore, we have decided to make this event Zero Waste. How? With the help of Zero To Go! We will be composting, recycling as well as asking our vendors and attendees to help out with this effort – let’s prove, together, that we can have an amazing event without sending a dumpster full of garbage to the landfill!

Tips to help us make this a zero waste event:

  1. Bring a reusable water bottle
  2. Use reusable utensils and straws
  3. Say “no” to plastic when you don’t need it
  4. Bring your own containers for food and bags for purchases

Special Thank You to the Organizers!!
